Fahad Al-Aboud

Fahad Al-Aboud was recently appointed the deputy minister for shared services at the Ministry of Tourism. He has been the ministry’s chief financial officer since August 2020.

Prior to that, Al-Aboud served as the vice president of finance and administration affairs, and executive board member, at the Ministry of Health-run Riyadh Health Cluster One, where he managed all finance functions from February 2019 until August 2020.

During his career, he also served as the general manager of finance at the Safari Group from September 2018 to January 2019, and as executive director of finance and senior manager of financial operations at the National Water Co. from May 2016 to September 2018.

He also held the position of director of finance for the National Medical Care Co. from November 2013 to May 2016. Al-Aboud is honored to serve his country and build improved finance, assets and government systems under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to ensure the Kingdom’s future prosperity.

He served in different positions while working for the Saudi Industrial Development Fund including head of the financial and administration unit, acting head of the loan accounting section, and senior accounting analyst from September 2002 until November 2013.

Al-Aboud earned a master’s degree in accounting and finance from Bangor University in Wales with an emphasis on financing small and medium enterprises in Saudi Arabia. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University in Riyadh.
