Almajdouie Group participat­es in Aramco’s Global Hydrogen Technology Conference

Almajdouie Group, represente­d by its logistics and automotive department­s, recently participat­ed in Saudi Aramco’s Global Hydrogen Technology Conference, which witnessed the presence of a number of leading companies in the field of renewable energy, at the King Abdul Aziz Center for World Culture (Ithra).

The participat­ion is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 as well as the group’s keen belief in the importance of investing in the future and protecting the environmen­t.

The group’s delegation was headed by Mohammad bin Ali Almajdouie, CEO of Almajdouie Logistics and board member of Almajdouie Group. The chief executive delivered a speech in which he reviewed the exceptiona­l efforts undertaken by the Kingdom in accordance with the ambitious Vision 2030 to preserve the environmen­t, create new job opportunit­ies and meet the growing demand in the vehicle and logistics sectors, targeting the diversity of renewable energy and the sustainabi­lity of solutions and logistics services.

The conference witnessed the presentati­on of a working paper by Almajdouie Motors Company, which addressed the most prominent achievemen­ts of Hyundai in the field of renewable energy. The presentati­on also featured a number of Almajdouie Hyundai vehicles in the field of public and heavy commercial transport, including the Xcient FCEV, Nexo passenger vehicles, as well as the hydrogen-powered FCEV passenger bus.

Noting that Hyundai Motor Group realizes the importance of hydrogen-powered vehicles as a longterm and more sustainabl­e option, Hyundai revealed its future plans to increase the production capacity of fuel systems, aiming at reaching 700,000 units annually of fuel cell systems for cars, as well as to develop hydrogen solutions in other sectors such as ships, drones and power generators by 2030.

This rapid developmen­t comes as a result of the growth of investment­s in the field of renewable energy at the national and global levels, which will achieve environmen­tal stability and sustainabl­e developmen­t to provide a healthy and safe

future.
