Authorities carry out 5,162 health inspection tours

Saudi municipalities have ramped up efforts to monitor compliance with anti-COVID-19 health and safety measures.

Jeddah municipality carried out 3,654 inspection tours of commercial centers and facilities in a single day, and found 28 violations in the process. Authorities closed 22 commercial outlets for breaching protocols.

Eastern Province municipality also carried out 1,508 inspection tours in one day in shopping malls, commercial centers and stores. The municipality issued penalties to 85 businesses for ignoring health regulations.
