The Indian star Sidharth Shukla’s name was globally trending on Thursday on Twitter following the news of his sudden death.
Bollywood’s popular actor and reality TV star died at the age of 40. The local hospital in Mumbai has not yet confirmed the cause of death but it is suspected he died of a heart attack.
Tributes poured in from fellow Indian celebrities and fans from across the world. Shraddha Kapoor posted on Twitter, “This is beyond shocking and devastating. How is life so unpredictable. Condolences to his family and everyone who loves him, so much. #SidharthShukla”
Parineeti Chopra tweeted: “Unable to process this. Rest in Peace #SidharthShukla. You were truly loved, by millions.”
Ajay Devgn tweeted, “Life & death are both baffling. But when someone as young as #SidharthShukla passes away with suddenness, one is very sad... Condolences to his family. RIP
Sidharth.”
Fans also paid tributes and mourned the death of Shukla on Twitter.
One wrote, “Shocked to hear the news of such a young handsome, dynamic actor’s demise. My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fans of #SidharthShukla.”
Another wrote: “It is true. but i can’t believe he is no more... gone too soon... #RestInPeace #SiddharthShukla.”
Shukla started his career in the entertainment industry as a model, then later made his debut as an actor in the TV series “Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na.” His Bollywood debut was in the 2014 rom-com “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.”
Besides modeling and acting, Shukla’s career included hosting shows such as “India’s Got Talent.” He also participated in the 13th season of the reality show “Bigg Boss,” which cemented his status as a high-profile figure in India after he won the show.
