Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings Starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina Director: Destin Daniel Cretton Liu stars as the eponymous martial-arts master in the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to feature an Asian lead. Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Shang-Chi is drawn reluctantl­y into his father’s secretive Ten Rings organizati­on.

Mohamed Amin Egyptian drama written by Ahmed Abdalla. The ‘star’ of the film is an Egyptian bank note worth 200 pounds, which is passed from person to person, each of whom is from a different social class and has their own unique story.

Prisoners of the Ghostland

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Sofia Boutella Director: Sion Sono

When Nic Cage describes a film as “the wildest movie I’ve ever made,” that’s a heck of a gauntlet to throw down. Whether this neo-noir western, set in Samurai Town, can live up to that billing remains to be seen. Cage plays a bank robber freed from jail by a wealthy warlord.

Horror thriller in which unhappy wife Emma has an affair with her husband Mark’s employee Tom. Mark discovers the truth and instigates an elaborate plan to take his revenge on the two of them.

Dogtanian and the 3 Muskehound­s

Voice cast: Eduardo Jover Director: Toni Garcia If nothing else, this animation has surely delivered one of the most painfully labored puns in the history of film. Based in part on Alexander Dumas’ classic novel and in part on the less-classic Eighties cartoon “Dogtanian.”
