#SuperTunaDanceChallenge

-

BTS’s Jin’s new song, “Super Tuna,” which he dropped as a present for fans on his birthday, has sparked a new challenge.

Saturday was Jin’s 29th birthday and the start of an unintended funny dance challenge. Along with the one-minute-long song, a choreography video has dropped. In the short clip, Jin and two other men are seen dancing on a beach after a fishing trip.

BTS fans — known as “the ARMY” — noticed that the catchy song, in which Jin expresses his love for fishing, has a fun, goofy and easy-tocopy choreography, so they started a challenge that took over the internet only a few hours after the song’s release.

As the challenge went viral, Jin took to Weverse on Sunday to state that he was taken aback and embarrassed because he did not plan the challenge. “People, please stop the ‘Super Tuna’ challenge, which I did not plan to do,” he wrote, adding, “Oh no, I’m so embarrassed.”

Fans immediately replied to Jin with words of assurance that they had started the challenge because they were enjoying the song, so he should not feel embarrassed. Others thanked him for the fun and quirky birthday treat, while others joked by telling him it was already too late.

People of all ages and from all around the globe started sharing videos of themselves dancing to the song.

“Kids dancing to Super Tuna like it’s the new baby shark is the cutest thing ever,” posted one fan.

“MY 8 yr old dancing to the super tuna song!” posted another, sharing a short video of her son dancing.

One fan shared video of her contribution while at an airport waiting for her baggage. “Did it at baggage claim after only seeing it once I’m sorry Seokjin and I love you and miss you so

much,” she wrote.
