The seven members of international sensation BTS on Monday launched personal accounts on
Instagram.
For years, BTS’s fans have been asking the boys to launch personal accounts on any social media platform. But, following the rules of management company BigHit Entertainment, they refrained from doing so.
To meet the demands of the BTS fans, who are known as “the ARMY,” BigHit launched the Weverse app, which has pages for every band and solo artist, to allow direct interaction and communication between BTS and their fans.
On Monday, however, the ARMY stormed to Twitter to share the news through #btsoninstagram, which trended globally on the social media platform.
@fhara220606 tweeted: “Finally what armies around the world have been waiting for, BTS has a personal Instagram #btsoninstagram @bts_bighit @BTS_twt.”
@hobigiggle tweeted: “BTS opened their own Instagram accounts y’all
2022 is gonna be goooooooooooood!!! #BTSONINSTAGRAM #BTS.”
@bangtanluver_7 tweeted: “BANGTAN is on Instagram now! ARMYS follow them! #btsoninstagram.”
@vminggukx tweeted: “This feels SURREAL! like seeing bts on my ig tl, tweeting ‘jungkook posted on instagram’ ‘joon commented on jk’s ig post!’ omg we need ig comments translations now! #btsoninstagram.”
@Frances39411513 tweeted: “How in the heck am I supposed to focus on work when I just found out all members of BTS just made personal INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS?! #BTS #btsoninstagram #BTSARMY @BTS_twt.”
Although the members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — have a group account on Instagram, they have all now started their own accounts.
Suga and Jimin each shared one post on their pages, while V, J-Hope and Jungkook have shared two posts, and RM and Jin three.
In less than six hours, the seven members gained more than 10 million followers.
Along with “#btsoninstagram,” other topics related to BTS were also trending worldwide on Twitter, including “Jungkook,” “vmin” and “FINDING YOONGI.”
