The singer marked the release of the music video for “Ganeni” this week with a digital billboard advert in New York's Times Square. The video features a henna-adorned Elyanna posing in a car in a desert location, as well as shots of the singer performing amongst a group of dancers.

The album features nine songs: “Woledto,” “Ganeni,” “Calling

“It's very different. I feel like it's like the real Elyanna. So, I'm very excited,” the singer previously told Arab News of the album. Before the album's release on April 12, the 22-year-old music sensation wrote to her 1.2 million followers on Instagram saying: “I hope this album brings you closer to who you are and makes you feel the way it makes me feel. This album is the embodiment of pride to be an Arab woman, to be from Nazareth, to be from the Middle East.

“This is the closest I've been to where I come from,” she added. “The only feature on my album is my grandfather.”

The promotional video Elyanna shared on Instagram before the release shows the singer planting an olive tree.

“I planted who I am next to an olive tree, to blossom into a white flower with my album, ‘Woledto,'” she captioned her post.

In the video, Elyanna recited a poem she said was written by her mother.

The poem says: “So you ask about my absence in September, through distance you'll learn the meaning of togetherness.

And through distance you'll learn, your heart will learn, the meaning of drought. And your heart will learn the taste of return after the wait.”
