GENTLE MONSTER ‘13’ COLLECTION
Because everyone loves a story, Gentle Monster has created one about a dystopian world that has a 13th month. During this period, ecological disasters occur forcing people to become fully dependent on technology.
To complement this story, the brand just launched nine new models in its ‘13’ collection. The new additions stay true to the brand’s style and aesthetics, with eccentric frames and design.
The Peggy model is the standout, with a cat-eye acetate wraparound frame and metal details on the bridge and temple. Staples Edition by Louis Vuitton is a collection of wardrobe essentials spannng ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and leather goods created by the brand’s men’s artistic director, Virgil Abloh.
With longevity and luxury in mind, the items are crafted from the finest cottons, cashmere, denim and leather. Particular attention is also paid to cutting, techniques and fabrication, keeping the pieces functional and contemporary.
The colour palette of the line is also deliberately neutral, keeping the pieces basic enough to be mixed and matched with the existing items in your closet.
With refreshes expected every season, the permanent collection is a long-term study and refinement of the foundation of the menswear wardrobe. The first of the lot launches this month in stores.
