Dan­ish re­searchers have found chil­dren who grow up in fam­i­lies

that keep pet cats are far less likely to suf­fer from asthma. The ef­fect is thought to be down to spe­cific ge­netic trig­gers for the con­di­tions be­ing switched off when chil­dren are in reg­u­lar

con­tact with mog­gies.
