Recruitment of Child Soldiers

It has been reported that the Tamil Tigers lost thousands of their militants during the 2004 tsunami, and in order to rebuild their force, they started recruiting children who were orphaned or displaced by the tsunami. These children were recruited using threat, intimidation and even abduction and were mainly used by the LTTE for combat and suicide missions.
