What can you do?

-

While efforts at the national level will take a reasonably long time to be studied, tested and implemented, what can you do to get a head start? Many of the things around you and almost all your activities contribute directly or indirectly to Singapore’s carbon footprint. So you can start your effort by making a list of all the things and activities at home that contribute to Singapore’s carbon footprint. Can you replace these things and activities? For instance, using the fan instead of the air-conditioner is a simple yet highly impactful effort that you and your family members can make. Other efforts that you can consider include:

?? ?? Taking the bus or the MRT instead of asking your parents to drive you to school Reducing, reusing and recycling things Changing all light bulbs to energy saving bulbs Eating organic food
