Blissful Outdoor Wedding Show (BOWS)

Once again, the

graced the field adjacent to Tan Quee Lan Street for three days; presenting a colourful display of wedding gowns, décor, venues and various other wedding service retailers. Sheltered under an air-conditioned outdoor tent, which covers over 2,200 square metres, couples are provided easy access to over 50 wedding merchants in one location.

As expressed by Desmond, one of the grooms-to-be present, the event also serves as a great place to compare prices between vendors. Desmond and his fiancée, who bought a photography package from France Paris Bridal, said, “We already had a rough idea of which package we wanted to go for. After checking out the other booths and comparing them with each other, we decided to go ahead with our initial choice.”

Since its inaugural show in 2005, BOWS — organised by Blissful Brides in partnership with Nanyang Inc — has grown to be one of the most highly-anticipated wedding shows in Singapore. Held thrice yearly, the show gives plenty of soon-to-be spouses ample opportunity and time to secure the best packages for their big day.

For everyone’s enjoyment, a strict “no touting” rule has been set up for the merchants. This means that attendees are able to move around leisurely and browse through the various booths with no pressure to purchase. Additionally, with local band Music Improvisation Collective serenading guests and vendors alike with sweet tunes and love songs, walking into BOWS felt like entering a fairytale dream.
