Turning the dial on timeless chic

From the most classic collection in the Blancpain Manufacture comes the Villeret Quantieme Phases de Lune, which features the feminine moon phase function. The moon in this iteration has long lashes, a delicate pout, and even a beauty mark above the lips – an appropriate metaphor for the woman who juggles both career and motherhood. The watch boasts a high-grade calibre that’s developed just for the more petite sizing of ladies’ watches. The rose gold version has an opaline dial and taupehued alligator strap to complement the bezel set with 48 diamonds. $26,300

The sleek rose gold bracelet and diamond bezel of Parmigiani Fleurier’s Tonda 1950 Galaxy Gold Bracelet may be stunning, but what really makes this piece stand out is its galaxy-like dial. Speckled with what looks like stars in the night sky, the unique watch face is created by scattering crushed aventurine glass

– a copper-glass hybrid – over a midnight blue dial. The PF702 automatic movement decorated with Côtes de Genève and bevelled bridges drives this handsome timepiece. $64,300, available at The Hour Glass

One of the trendiest hues of 2018, midnight blue is a key highlight of Jaeger-lecoultre’s newest Rendez-vous Night & Day Medium. Combining an inky blue alligator strap featuring tone-on-tone topstitching with a similarly hued lustrous sunburst dial and an understated diamond-set bezel, the versatile timepiece perfectly accents a power suit. As the alligator strap incorporates an interchangeability system, it can be effortlessly switched without requiring a single tool. The automatic mechanical movement, which is partially revealed through the sapphire crystal case back, offers a 40-hour power reserve. $20,000

IWC used to create elaborately decorated jewellery watches for women in the 1920s and then later on in the 1950s and 1960s. One of them is the Lady Da Vinci Chronograph, which was first launched in 1988. The Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 Edition “150 Years” from IWC’S Jubilee collection takes its cue from the 1995 version, which was produced in yellow gold with a diamond-set bezel. The current iteration features an 18K white gold case and moving lugs studded with 206 pure white diamonds. $44,800
