DRGL
Embodying both style and substance, Dr Georgia Lee, 49, isn’t just a celebrity doctor with a killer wardrobe. Behind the polished demeanour is an aesthetic physician who takes her profession very seriously. Besides the aesthetic practice she’s been conscientiously running for almost 20 years, Dr Lee has also spent the last nine years building her eponymous beauty empire. It started quite by accident in the early noughties, when the statuesque doctor developed an allergic reaction to an antibiotic that left her with postinflammation pigmentation on the right side of her face. She invested money to develop her own product to tackle the problem and after six years of intensive R&D, she launched her first range of skincare in 2009 (she rebranded it to DRGL in 2011).
Available in Singapore, Thailand and onboard three airlines, DRGL now has a stable of some 40 or so products, and falls under A Drbrand – an umbrella company Dr Lee set up to consolidate all her brands: DRGL skincare, Drhair hair products and the Drspa chain.
