The Macallan Boutique @ 1855 boasts a stunning display of the brand’s range of whiskies. Limited editions, such as The Macallan 50 YO (only 200 bottles worldwide), are available along with the core trio of 12YO and the 1824 Master series collection. Over at the charming four-seater bar, The Macallan Boutique Associate welcomes guests with a guided flight tasting (from $15/flight), which currently includes the The Macallan Sherry Oak 18YO (Finest Cut series; $35/flight). Tipple and Dram comprises two bars helmed by three business partners, who bought over Le Carillon De L’angelus. Tipple on the ground floor is a wine bar that continues to ply French wines along with other New World finds, while Dram is a 32-seater basement whisky bar. Departing from the usual Scotch offerings, Dram stocks up on over 100 distillery exclusives, including hand-fills and limited collection­s, which are normally only available at the distillery door. Bowmore, Bruichladd­ich, Laphroaig and Lagavulin are well represente­d, though we were drawn to Ledaig 20YO single cask ($99/dram) and Glen Moray hand fill ($39/dram).
