The re­turn of 100 de­lights

The 100 Sichuan De­lights, 1 Gas­tro­nomic Feast ($58) by Si Chuan Dou Hua restau­rant is back by pop­u­lar de­mand for the third year. To be ex­act, there are 105 Sichuan dishes in 25 dif­fer­ent flavours this time round, which are pre­sented à la carte buf­fet style. Food por­tions are kept small so you can savour the length and breadth of Sichuan cui­sine, but you would be hard pressed to pol­ish off even half the num­ber of dishes. So, zoom in on the must-tries like mar­i­nated pork belly slices in Chi­nese rice wine, pig’s ears in chilli oil and Sichuan noo­dles in onion sauce. What’s new this year: you can opt for a flight of three drams (12 Years Old, Three Wood and 18 Years Old) from Auchen­toshan ($30) to pair with the food. The pro­mo­tion ends on 31 De­cem­ber.
