The Capitol Kempinski Hotel’s new F&B concepts bears the names of its German founders, Berthold and Freida. A bakery cum delicatessen, the 49-seater Berthold Delikatessen offers the best of traditional German breads and pastries. Over half the menu feature the aforementioned bakes, including classics, such as Bauernbrot (farmer’s bread), the braided Hefezopf and their signature Rye Sourdough. Enjoy the breads with a cuppa, Berthold offers two types; the Andraschko German blend consists of 100% Arabica beans for a concentrated, robust brew, while their signature blend is smooth and reveals notes of grapefruit and blackcurrants.
Frieda houses three different dining concepts under one roof: Day Bar, Dining Room and Garden. Diners can expect a slew of hearty German-austrian classics, such as wiener schnitzel and apple fritters. #01-84, Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski, 15 Stamford Road. Tel: 6715 6872
