A tale of two cities

Headlined by chefs Thitid Tassanakajohn of Bangkok’s one Michelinstarred Le Du, and Richie Lin of Taipei’s one Michelin-starred MUME,

Baan Taipei marks Tassanakajohn’s overseas debut. When you step inside this dinner-only Thai restaurant, be greeted with bamboo greens and rattan brown hues – a nod to Thailand. Sharing plates in this dinner-only restaurant include a Braised Beef in Green Curry (NT$480) and Seafood Tom Yum (NT$480) that just begs for a bowl of rice. Not to be missed is the crunchy Chayote Leaves (NT$220) stir-fried in oyster sauce, and the all-time favourite moo kluk foon (NT$380) — stir-fried pork in fermented shrimp paste, bird’s eye chili lemongrass and lime.
