The river flows through Dempsey Hill

After 12 years of impressing guests with its Sichuan and Cantonese dishes at Rochester Park, Min Jiang (named after the Min River), has shifted to the historic Dempsey Hill. The light-filled venue is modern without losing its distinctive Chinese touch. Natural hues are accented by touches of gold, yellow and green, and complemented by rattan and wood armchairs.

The menu largely retains signatures such as the Legendary Wood-fired Beijing Duck ($108) and Stewed Noodles with Lobster ($118), but there are several dishes to encourage a return visit. The Heritage Treasures Platter ($88) is an eclectic collection of Teochew-style shrimp roll, Wuxi-style braised pork, stir-fried seasonal greens and deep-fried crab meat and chicken liver ‘Scotch egg’. Don't miss the intricate and creative dim sum items, including the Steamed ‘Goldfish’ Prawn Dumpling ($4.80/piece), an adorable morsel swimming in a delicate egg white sauce and perfumed with dill. 7A & 7B Dempsey Road.
