Min Jiang first opened its doors in 1982 at Goodwood Park Hotel, and has since earned the distinctio­n as a stalwart of Chinese cuisine in Singapore. Step into the award-winning restaurant and savour crowdpleas­ing specialiti­es like Camphor Tea Smoked Duck, wholesome Doubleboil­ed Minced Pork Ball with Crabmeat in Tientsin Cabbage Soup, and Sautéed Prawns with Dried Red Chilli. Hosting a big group of family? Look no further, at Min Jiang there are six private dining rooms that can host up to 100 guests (also perfect for an intimate wedding).

After 12 years at Rochester Park, Min Jiang’s second outlet has moved to a bigger and more rustic-elegant space on Dempsey Hill. Weaved wooden panels, rattan chairs and hexagonal pendant lamps adorn the dining space, exuding a warm yet classy ambience. It also includes three private dining rooms that can seat up to 30 guests, a bar and timber decked alfresco.

Helming the restaurant is Master Chef Goh Chee Kong, who has spent the past 32 years cooking at Min Jiang. The talented chef specialise­s in Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine, producing beautiful dim sum morsels, such as the blue-hued Steamed Blue Pea Truffle Vegetable Dumpling. Order these new highlights along with trusty signatures like the Legendary Wood-fired Beijing Duck served with Homemade Crepes and the Ibérico Pork Fried Rice served in Mini Pumpkin accompanie­d with XO Sauce.
