Lime House, Sin­ga­pore’s only Caribbean bar and restau­rant has gone through a re­vamp. Ex­pect a well­lighted space, out­door seat­ing with homey Caribbean touches, deck chairs, trop­i­cal flora and a teak­wood bar stocked with the largest rum col­lec­tion in Sin­ga­pore (300 bot­tles and count­ing). The well-spiced Caribbean clas­sics are served up in gen­er­ous por­tions. There’s a fiery curry goat with rice and peas ($32) as well as some sweet-savoury jerk chicken ($29). Smaller bites such as the Car­ni­val Mar­ket ($18), pan-seared snap­per served with rich jou­vert sauce and re­fresh­ing tomato salsa; and highly ad­dic­tive Ox­tail & Egg­plant ($16) are per­fect for those look­ing for a munch.

Among the new va­ri­ety of rum tip­ples (in­spired by the coun­tries around the Car­ribean Sea), we like the Santo Libre, Do­mini­can ($19), a po­tent com­bi­na­tion fea­tur­ing multi-is­land rum and clas­sic Ja­maican gin­ger beer, and the Spicy Pi­mento, Ja­maica ($21), com­pris­ing tequila and mez­cal.
