ITALIANA AT HOME
has recently expanded its menu; keeping in line with the brand’s culinary expression of produce-driven cooking, the new selections consist of vegetable-forward plates that are bound to nourish. A large portion of these dishes are completely vegetarian friendly, including the Butternut ($12) and Cauliflower and Broccoli ($20) bowls. The former pairs the sweet squash with a delectably chewy black barley and farro grain base, balanced with local aged black vinegar, wild honey, and sesame. Those looking to make small steps towards a more plant-based diet will definitely enjoy the seafood dishes of Hamachi ($29) and Mackerel ($27). The Hamachi in particular impresses with the right distribution of fat, resulting in moist flaky flesh that’s tempered by capers and burnt butter.

The new stay-home dining concept from one-michelin-starred Braci, Braci a Casa, promises diners a similar experience from what chefs Beppe de Vito and Mirko Febbrile deliver at the fine Italian restaurant. As the name suggests, the new la carte menu takes inspiration from the chef's personal heritage and memories, with dishes that are reminiscent of Italian family hospitality. Start the meal with a homely Stracciatella ($28), filled with root vegetables and toasted nuts, before continuing with a rich scampi and sea urchin Tagliolini ($32). For mains, standout choices include the Wagyu Short Ribs ($48), and the hearty Cioppino ($48). For the full Braci experience, order the Braci tasting menu ($208/two persons); it includes an Altamura bread and extra virgin olive oil kit, and your choice of appetiser, two pastas, two mains and a dessert. Braci is also retailing DIY home kits for its dishes and cocktails.
