• 2 cups wa­ter

• 2 inches fresh gin­ger, peeled and grated

• 2 inches fresh turmeric root, peeled and

grated (or ½ tsp ground turmeric)

• 1 to 2 tsp raw honey or maple syrup

1. Bring the wa­ter, grated gin­ger and grated turmeric root to boil in a medium saucepan. Sim­mer for 10 to 15 min­utes. 2. Re­move from heat, strain and sweeten to taste.
