Singapore welcomes its first outlet by Leckerbaer, an artisanal bakery known for its innovative take on traditional Danish butter cookies called småkager. Its first overseas venture outside of home town Copenhagen, Leckerbaer's irresistibly Instagrammable sweet treats are visually delightful and creative in flavours. The småkager ($2.80 each) has a textured Danish butter base accompanied by star flavours such as Raspberry, a cookie sandwich with jam; Caramel with blueberry meringue; Vanilla with calamansi; Banana with berry sugar and salted caramel; or Passionfruit with almond cake and meringue. These mini 'cookies' offer addictive little bites with the right dollops of soft creams and jams to complement the light crunchy texture. The 36-seater patisserie opens at Isetan Scotts and offers a menu of other sweet and savoury confectionaries.
