On The Saxon Pub

Esquire (Singapore) - - Portfolio -

“Well, The Saxon Pub is doing something right. A lot of people like to come play at a honky-tonk dance hall and a lot of people like to go to what would be referred to as a concert where you sit and listen to every word. And you are not jumping up and down dancing. You are not jumping up and down clinking your beer bottles together. He wants people to go down there and enjoy the music. They are doin’ what me and my wife Annetta are doing right here. Both of them are hard workers and good promoters and they are down at their business running it like they should be. I like Joe Ables a lot. They are good people and real friendly. That is what makes it. I always find people I know down there at The Saxon. I’ve been there and a lot of the people who play at the Spoke play down at The Saxon. They are like a good neighbour and I do by them what I do for anyone in Austin, Texas that has been here for a while and I respect. I have never had a problem with The Saxon.”
