MOSAIC PRESCHOOL

-

Mayumi Kawakami, Japanese language teacher

I’ve been teaching Japanese for two years to students aged 18 months to six years at Mosaic Preschool. Having taught in various schools in Japan before this, I’m proud to be part of the team at Mosaic – the school has created a community where all the stakeholders are strongly and closely knit. There’s a lot of open communication, and support is provided to families, children and staff.

I’ve had many opportunities to work with children from different nationalities and cultures at the school, and the curriculum provides the children with many learning opportunities to pick up skills and knowledge. The children also have a safe and attractive space to learn and explore in.

To keep abreast of current best practices and to expand our knowledge, the team of teachers undergo regular training to deliver more conducive and fun learning experiences for the children. We work towards the common goal of delivering the best for the children under our care.

THE SCHOOL SAYS…

Our unique curriculum blends different learning approaches under one roof – playbased, project inquiry, Montessori and 17 other enrichments including cookery, swimming, coding and ballet. Children learn in a fun and engaging environment while honing their 21stcentury competencies too.

What’s new?

We’re redesigning an outdoor space with a garden theme where children can breathe the fresh morning air, absorb vitamin D and engage in fun activities such as sand play, water play and gross motor games. We also have a new branch in the East side of Singapore.
