Having moved our family around

Asia and Europe for the past 13 years, we wanted to find a school with a fabulous community spirit where our family could fit in immediately. From the moment we arrived for our tour to the first day of school, we all felt very welcome. AIS provides the option for our children to complete HSC or IB, which is great, as we wanted the kids to have the opportunity to decide when the time comes.

We arrived in Singapore in January 2020, and were so excited to explore Singapore and our new home. AIS handled the Circuit Breaker and online learning well. The communication and education has been fantastic, and the children and teachers have adapted to their new way of learning with ease. AISPA, which is the Parent & Friends group, has offered a variety of social and educational groups and gatherings that were particularly helpful during the Circuit Breaker period. We look forward to getting to know Singapore and the school over the coming years.

THE SCHOOL SAYS…

We’re the only school in Singapore to offer a Southern Hemisphere calendar global education for students aged two months to 18 years. Our philosophy commits us fully to the notion of a holistic education that cherishes the arts, sports and academics as essential dimensions of a student’s education.

What’s new?

We’ve introduced an AIS Data Dashboard for our Elementary and Secondary students. The Academic Team gathers three types of data (aptitude, attitude and achievement) that is triangulated and stored in a central location. It’s a great tool for teachers to obtain a clear, wellrounded understanding of each student, and to tailor learning and school experiences accordingly. We believe that it is teaching, not assessment, that raises standards. Assessment is a tool to measure progress and guide teaching. 1 Lorong Chuan
