STAMFORD AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

-

Jonathan and Janine Pentzien, Americans; Calla (13) and Carson (8)

We’ve lived in Singapore for five years. When we came for our “look-see”, we toured many schools. What impressed us about Stamford was the stunning campus and facilities, and the warm and welcoming staff who did the tour. Their PYP and MYP curriculums with the option of IB or the US AP High School curriculum were also a major reason. We love the focus on a growth mindset for our kids and how learning is approached and supported.

What Carson likes best at Stamford is his friends, art class and the playground. He’s in the bilingual Mandarin programme and has a group of classmates who’ve been together since K2. He also started guitar lessons through the school’s IMP programme and we credit his guitar teacher for helping to inspire and encourage his love of music.

Calla likes her English teachers and friends from all over the world that she’s made at Stamford. She also enjoys being part of the basketball programme. She feels challenged but confident in her classes and also enjoys learning Mandarin.

THE SCHOOL SAYS…

We offer an outstanding education and we’re the first and only school in Singapore to offer Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and Business and Technical Education Council (BTEC) Diploma curricula, together with a US-accredited High School Diploma.
