A Special Shoot
In our April issue, we ran a style makeover and photo session competition with Palita Photographer, CG Style Consultancy and Attaby. The winner was Jana Takacova, and we just had to share these beautiful photos from her professional shoot in Pasir Ris Park with her daughter Ema and her son Alex. It’s a place that means a lot to her family, as they have come to know this area well since their arrival in Singapore a few months ago.
Palita did a great job with the photography; it was an amazing experience. We felt very comfortable, despite not usually liking to be photographed! We didn’t feel we had to pose, and it all felt very natural. A big thanks to Christina from CG Style Consultancy too for her professional styling advice, and to Clare for the beautiful dresses. Last but not least, thank you Expat Living magazine for giving us the chance to win such a fantastic competition.

It was such a privilege to document Jana and her family’s new life in Singapore. Although it was a hot morning, they were brilliant. Jana and Ema looked wonderful in their Attaby dresses, with Christina on hand to help with styling. Together we cycled, laughed and talked about life and family. Jana even prepared a little picnic on the beach for us all after the shoot – what a thoughtful touch!
