-

Although a number of our panellists drive a car in Singapore, they all have positive things to say about the public transport network.

It’s clean and tidy, always on time, and the trains and buses come frequently. – Alexandra

I love the public transport here! It’s so well connected and affordable for everyone. – Ankita

Having lived in London for nine years prior to moving here, the MRT couldn’t have been more different to the Underground. Clean, safe, efficient, airconditioned – I love the MRT! – Beth

The MRT is a convenient and inexpensive way to get around, especially now that there are more stops and stations being built. We live near Novena MRT station and I love taking the Red Line to Orchard. It’s much faster than taking a taxi into town, and way cheaper! – Dana

Transport here is cheap, clean, well run, frequent and pretty much connects the whole island. – Lisa

Public transportation in Singapore great! The bus and MRT systems are run so efficiently it makes getting anywhere super easy. – Mel

Up until a few years ago, you weren’t able to take prams on buses; however, since they’ve changed the law it makes things so much easier. The MRT is clean, quiet, easy and cheap! With the mass expansion, it will only get better. – Sophie
