A family’s perspective

Parent: Nikki Weber Child: Damien (11)

Many of our friends’ children and Damien’s school friends attend courses at Centre Stage. When we were ready for Damien to start dance and drama, it was a natural decision to join the school. He attends acting, ballet (which he’s swapping soon for contemporary dance) and jazz classes. He also joins the drama after-school activity run by Centre Stage at UWCSEA Dover.

Damien loves dancing, singing, acting and musical theatre and he has a chance to do all of them at Centre Stage. His teachers not only teach him skills but also encourage him to pursue performance opportunities. He performed in the musical Fun Home last year, and was in the touring show of Evita. Centre Stage is extremely good at encouraging their students to go for their dreams. There is such positivity at the school and you can see how much the kids enjoy it!

A WORD FROM THE SCHOOL

Centre Stage is a performing and creative arts school offering an extensive range of drama, musical theatre and dance programmes for kids, from play-based parent and toddler classes to serious performance training. Our ethos is based on the simple idea that creativity in children is important and the arts are of value to all. We’re also a busy production house, staging many in-house shows each year and an annual Christmas pantomime at MBS.
