We moved to Singapore in August 2017. We were looking for a small local school for Tippi, and we hoped we could find a setting where the year groups were not too big, where she could be encouraged and nurtured, and also where Mandarin lessons were offered.

The teachers at Brighton Montessori are kind and welcoming. They’ve offered her lots of encouragement and we have seen her develop. She is able to count and sing songs in both English and Mandarin, and we’ve seen Tippi become more confident and imaginative at home. She is given individual targets by her teacher, which we are encouraged to work upon as a family homework activity. This not only helps to reinforce her learning but allows us to be involved. We are very happy to have joined the school.

A WORD FROM THE SCHOOL

Brighton Montessori has provided a holistic education and a strong foundation for formal schooling and beyond for over 20 years. Through the Montessori approach, children grasp abstract concepts at their own pace and develop the confidence and independence for self-directed learning. An intensive Chinese Immersion Programme provides a strong start in Mandarin through fun activities and is especially helpful for children who’ve just been introduced to the language. Through a close parent partnership, every child at Brighton is given a nurturing environment to develop their fullest potential.

WHAT’S NEW?

Brighton Montessori is now open at River Valley. The new double-storey campus offers plenty of natural light, spacious classrooms and an exciting indoor playground.
