Passport Update

- For more info, visit passports.gov.au. Book an appointment online at ahcsing.setmore.com.

For Aussies living in Singapore, here are some reminders and updates from the Consular and Passports team at the Australian High Commission.

Most countries require six months’ validity on passports for both stays and transits. Don’t forget to check your children’s passports; they’re normally valid for five years rather than ten years for adults. All applications in Singapore require an appointment and must be lodged in person at the Australian High Commission. Allow around a month for an appointment and a minimum of 15 business days for your passport to arrive in time for travel. Also: • Check your travel insurance covers all aspects of your holiday – some companies require extra coverage for activities such as motorbike riding, skiing and scuba diving. • Check smartraveller.gov.au for the countries you’re travelling to – they all differ, with unique laws and customs.
