Located in one of the old barrack buildings, Samy’s has an old- school, canteen- like feel about it. The relaxed atmosphere and solid food is clearly a winning combination – this family-run restaurant has been serving hordes of hungry expats and locals since the 1970s.

An award-winning resto, Long Beach has been around since 1946, and with good reason. For an entertaining night out, head to Tawandang Microbrewery, a German-thai microbrewery originating from Bangkok. Expect modern Thai food paired with smooth German beer and regular live music and dance performances. Your tastebuds will be well looked after by the Thai chefs and experienced German brewmaster, as you choose from Thai and German classics like tom yum kung and deep-fried pork knuckles, washed down with draft dunkel, weisen and lager beers.
