International School

We've been in Singapore for two years now and Oriana has been attending SMMIS since March 2019. We heard about the school from the Jewish community in Shanghai when we moved here. After visiting many schools in Singapore, SMMIS stood out from the rest. The teachers are very involved and the campus has outstanding facilities, well-lit classrooms and a covered outdoor playground for all types of weather.

At SMMIS, the staff welcomes you and your child as if you are family. The preschool has incredible teachers – they're nurturing, fun and always pay attention to each child's needs. They interact so well with the children through song, art, language and even dancing! They also teach the kids with so much energy and joy. The preschool follows the student-focused Reggio Emilia approach, which we love.

We highly recommend the school; our daughter is so happy at SMMIS. The administrative team and the teachers take great care of the children. They listen and respond promptly to any feedback we share with them. When many parents requested a Mandarin teacher for the preschool, they even hired one. At SMMIS, you're not sending your child to just another international school but becoming part of a welcoming community. It doesn't matter if you're Jewish or not. Our daughter's classmates are from different backgrounds and the children are taught under the guidance of Judaism's universal values – justice, healing the world, charity and kindness to others. The school's motto encompasses these ideas as “pursuing wisdom for a better world”.
