Guess what’s coming to Singapore?

White and Black Trading carries a wide variety of outdoor toys for all ages, from scooters and skateboards to football nets and beach toys. Its range of popular Micro scooters come in all sizes and colours. This April, founders Justinna Pank and Emma Thomas are excited to bring in the new Eco range from Micro Scooter. Here’s what we can expect from this cool new series.

#1 Sustainably made

As much as eight million tonnes of waste are found in the oceans each year – waste that affects habitats and kills marine life. What’s special about the new Micro scooter range is that the scooter decks are made from plastic waste from the ocean. Micro works together with different partners to repurpose them before they’re discarded and disposed of. These include items such as fishing nets, ropes and trawls. The plastic is cleaned and broken down into chips, which are melted, coloured and poured into moulds to create decks. Micro has found that the recycling of plastic has helped them to reduce their carbon emissions by up to 82 percent!

#2 Keeping what works

Coming in a new ocean green hue, the eco-friendly series is available in two classic models to suit different ages and needs: the Mini and Maxi Micro. They come with all the great features that we love, such as the stable “leanand-steer” system that’s great for beginners, adjustable handlebar that “grows” with your child, lightweight frame and silicone mouldings on the footplate for better grip.

#3 Long-lasting

Like all of the scooters in the Micro range, they are built to be durable. Replacement parts are available so your scooters can be repaired after wear and tear instead of being thrown away – that means fewer end up in landfills. Micro also has distributors and service centres worldwide so you can easily find the parts you need, whether you’re living in Singapore or have relocated across the globe.

#4 Giving back

Micro is donating one percent of the sales from this eco-conscious line to environmental charities, further supporting the cause to protect the planet.
