Open in the East

Fresh off the press is Little Farms’ latest opening in Katong! Featuring a fullfledged bistro, supermarket, butcher counter and bar, this is the gourmet grocer’s fifth and largest outlet to date. Here’s what you can look forward to.

Spanning 6,000 square feet, the spacious outlet sits along Joo Chiat Road. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a coffee kiosk, which doles out convenient grab-and-go beverages you can sip on while walking through the aisles. We’re talking healthy smoothies, fresh juices and Allpress coffees from Australia.

Healthy Eating

Little Farms is known for carrying a wide range of organic and seasonal produce that’s of consistent quality and freshness. This newest Katong branch offers an equally impressive selection that doesn’t disappoint. Shop some of the freshest fruits and veggies, including Australian Shepard avocados that are ripe, fresh and ready-to-eat, organic grapes, kale from Australia and spinach by homegrown company Sustenir Agriculture.

Load up on your protein with grass-fed meats that are free of added growth hormones, antibiotics or chemicals. Exclusive to Little Farms is the Mount Barker brand of fresh free-range chicken and pork, air-flown directly from Australia. The chickens and pigs roam freely outdoors on the vast green pastures in Australia’s Great South West. Head to the butcher for clean cuts and marinated readyto-cook meats, plus juicy house-made sausages, prepared only with premium and natural ingredients. And don’t forget to grab some sourdough bread from the ready-to-eat section, freshly baked daily.

Little Farms also carries a wide selection of gluten-free, vegan, keto and other specialty diet products. Dairy-free products include yoghurt from Australian brand Born Cultured and ice cream from UK brand Hackney Gelato. For organic produce, must-tries are tempeh by local brand Angie’s Organic, plantbased patties by Australian brand Bite Me, and a curated range of biodynamic wines, both New World and Old World.

Dining In

Once you’re done browsing, rest your feet at the bistro and kick back with some well-deserved nosh. The casual diner offers an array of nourishing signatures from Little Farms Café, plus a few new additions, all prepared with top-quality ingredients. Available all day and night, menu highlights include light salads, premium steaks, plant-based dishes and the popular smashed avocado. Wash it all down with a smoothie, or take things up a notch with some cocktails and beers at the bar.
