The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has launched two new staycation packages: “Overnight in the Museum” and “Giveback Getaway”. The former comes with access to the hotel’s new self-guided augmented reality art tour, tickets to the Future World exhibition at the ArtScience Museum, breakfast and a relaxation bath. Meanwhile, the “Giveback Getaway” package (book by 11 May) sees the hotel make a donation to Food Bank Singapore; each package booked provides an underprivi­leged family with a month’s worth of food rations, hot food and essential items under the Food Pantry 2.0 initiative. Aman has launched a new self-drive experience as part of its luxury offerings. Guests can choose to drive sports cars, SUVs or other classic rides and go on three- to five-day trips using the brand’s properties worldwide as a base. The Future of Travel survey by Booking.com found that travellers are becoming more aware of the impact their travel habits have on the environmen­t and local communitie­s. Just under half of Singaporea­n travellers are keen on more sustainabl­e travel and 73 percent expect the travel industry to offer more sustainabl­e options. Locally, more and more hotels are starting green initiative­s, including the likes of Parkroyal Collection Pickering, Oasia Hotel, Grand Hyatt Singapore and Marina Bay Sands.
