The first thing I say to Eddy, colour expert at Chez Vous Hideaway, when he asks me about my hair is: “I have no idea... I’ve only dyed my hair once, but I also shaved my head once! So, at worst, I go back to zero. Do what you think is best for me.”

And he definitely did! I couldn’t be happier with my natural-looking balayage and the treatment I received at Chez Vous. My entire experience was marked by incredibly thoughtful touches from start to finish. From the massage chair on arrival, to the scalp treatment and the gorgeously relaxing hair-washing room complete with extra head massage, every moment felt relaxing and luxurious – a break away from work, lockdown and the rest of life’s stresses.

Despite my lack of direction on the dye front, Eddy took the time to really understand my daily routine and styling preferences, and come up with a cut and colour plan that complements my face and my lifestyle. He took care and pride in creating the perfect look for me, and hand-painted every highlight with expert precision. Artistry like this takes time, so I was glad I had my book with me and could relax into the process.

Thanks to all the treatments and careful use of products, my hair and scalp also feel super healthy. On top of this, I was given a range of care tips, which helps allay any concerns I had about the impact of dye on hair health.

The results really speak for themselves: my hair looks naturally highlighted and sun-kissed, and the visual texture enhances any style I wear. Every day since the treatment, my hair has been easier to take care of, and looks more “done” with less maintenance.
