Variable Pulsed Light (VPL) and waxing: Suitable for all hair types

It’s touted as a new and improved IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). Why? Because Variable Pulsed Light, or VPL, is exactly what it sounds like...variable! This means that the energy density, pulse lengths and intervals can be customised according to individual skin, allowing for a safer and less painful treatment.

Trimmings uses the Energist UltraPlus, which doesn’t just remove hair but also rejuvenates skin, improves pigmentation and treats acne, even on the face. Darker skins and lighter hair types, however, need a higher number of treatments for it to be effective.

For those with sensitive skin, Trimmings also offers a comprehensive waxing menu, using their gentle in-house formula made of beeswax, lanolin and lavender.
