Now Open in Telok Ayer

New kid on the block Umami 10 has just opened its doors in the hip hood of Telok Ayer. Named after the core fifth taste, the concept offers a tapas-style menu of Europeaninfluenced Japanese cuisine that highlights savoury ingredients like mushrooms, shellfish and cheese. Heading the kitchens are Head Chef Mark and Executive Chef Victor who bring decades of culinary experience to the eatery. In the mood for a drink or two? Don’t miss the exclusive sake selection sourced directly from Japan. umami10.com

Embracing Hygge

Hygge, the Danish quality of cosiness and conviviality, makes its way to Singapore by way of Leckerbaer. The flagship store is located in Keong Saik and is a space that inspires a sense of peace. Likewise, the menu offers Scandinavian comfort classics including open-faced sourdough sandwiches, delicate pastries and artisanal teas. The signature – and a must-try – is the småkagers, traditional Danish butter cookies filled with treats like raspberry jam, blueberry meringue and vanilla with a hint of calamansi. leckerbaer.sg

Aussie Coffee

Adding to the Star Vista’s array of cafés and restaurants is Dewgather, a contemporary café that champions Australia’s coffee culture. The signature coffee is crafted with a three-bean blend, The Star, and the menu is curated by award-winning Melbournebased Chef Joachim Lim and Chef Clarence Lim. In addition to their classic blend, an inventive selection of drinks including the Ajisai matcha latte and the Tsubaki hojicha latte are available. Food-wise, you can enjoy contemporary dishes such as Dew Swordfish Pasta. The 120-seat café has a striking, modern design with skylights that drape the space in light. dewgather.com
