Coding Lab’s MIT-inspired and award-winning curriculum seeks to instil a passion for coding in every child. The classes will give children an understanding of how games work, and the ability to code their own games/animations, make their own apps and learn to problem-solve as they debug their own programmes.

Ages five to six years will learn the basics of computational thinking with a combination of interactive touchscreens and hands-on educational toys. In the Young Computer Scientists programme, seven-to-nine-year-olds pick up drag-and-drop Scratch programming and build their own AI friend with speech and facial recognition capabilities. In the Advanced Computer Scientists programme, children aged 10 to 12 years can invent apps that will help UN’s Sustainable Development Goals or get started on Python, one of the most versatile programming languages in the world. Teens from 13 to 18 years of age can also get started with Python, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, all key topics for a future world of technology.

All classes are led by passionate educators who have technological expertise and hail from top universities. What’s more, campers have workbooks and snacks during break time and can celebrate their new coding knowledge with a certificate upon completion.
