Brilliant BREKKIES

- BY DINESH AJITH

Breakfast food – we could eat it all day long! Whether you choose fluffy pancakes, a full fry-up or something healthier like avocado smash, there’s nothing like a hearty first meal of the day. Here are four fab brunch and breakfast spots to try, including some all-day menus so you can still have a bit of a lie in! Wild Honey

For more than a decade, Wild Honey has been creating and serving up innovative and beautiful breakfasts inspired by a love of travel and international flavours. Each dish tells a story of farflung lands and the tastes, colours and textures that bring them to life. And, in good news for brekky lovers, the extensive menu puts global all-day breakfast at the forefront.

Choose from the classic English breakfast, a Canadian-style stack of buttermilk pancakes, plus plenty of exotic options from other parts of the world: the Moroccan breakfast has spiced carrot and chickpea fritters; the Tunisian includes chorizo and eggs in a spicy shakshuka; and the Texan features smoky barbecue brisket. Elsewhere on the menu you’ll find traditional Brazilian bread, Belgian coconut waffles, and the Boulevard St Michel – a savoury French toast with parmesan crumbed eggs and spinach soufflé.

No great brunch is complete without excellent coffee, so sip on Wild Honey’s bespoke Common Man Coffee Roasters blend or the ice coffee cubes with milk. And, if you’re in the mood for a boozy brunch, the restaurant also offers free-flow prosecco and select wines as well as a luxurious afternoon tea to while away the second half of the day.
