THE ARTIST BEHIND IT
Howie Kim is the 29-year-old Singapore artist casting a spell over the Internet with his weirdly wonderful, psychedelic-hued digital illustrations, GIFs and AR face filters that often incorporate pop culture icons ranging from The Teletubbies to Kim K. (As of press time, he had amassed 147k followers on his Instagram account @howie759.) Even institutions such as DBS (yes, the bank) has commissioned him to produce artwork. This marks the first fully illustrated magazine cover for both him and Female.
