THE COURSE OF LOVE

-

The Chaumet Liens watch reflects the brand’s lifelong dedication to creating pieces of enduring art, which effortlessly unite functional mechanism and striking beauty. Bringing a myriad of technology, textures and subtle hues together in its watches, Chaumet has, over the years, created beautiful timepieces that have not only stood the test of time but have become lasting personal legacies for their owners.

Available in various styles to suit different sartorial needs, the Liens collection comes in a choice of dyed supple alligator straps in dark or light shades, or polished stainless steel bracelets. All are powered through Swiss self-winding mechanical movements, viewable through a skeleton case-back. Complications include a date function, and the entire collection is water resistant up to 30 metres.

On each watch, delicately tinted pink gold or gorgeous silver hands sweep gracefully around a white lacquer and satin-finish silver dial, so smooth that it emits an inner glow akin to moonshine. To add to the romance of three of the watches are glittering bezels, where 64 brilliant-cut diamonds add a halo-like effect.

But the true star of the show is without doubt the curving lien motif. A sleek and decisive pink gold or steel cross-over design on either side of the dial offers compelling side profiles of the case. What’s more, the symbol serves to link the straps of the timepiece together, and is an object of pure charm, marked exactly as it is right in the centre, with a refined cabochon-cut and polished mother-of-pearl or stainless steel crown.

With their smooth, clean lines, good-looking facades and necessary application in daily living, the Liens watches are paradoxically both a fundamental need, and yet, very much a great luxury for the wearers.
