A TASTE of ITALY

Art historian SABIANA PAOLI is ready to help art fans love ITALIAN ART as much as she does

-

i f you want to find out more about Italian art, your first port of call should be with gallery owner and art historian Sabiana Paoli. Her love of Italian art grew when she studied at Florence University under Professor Ester Cohen, who is an expert in contemporary art. After finishing her studies, Sabiana worked at one of the most renowned art galleries in Italy. And she is now based on this Little Red Dot and is ready to act as an insider guide to the breathtaking world of Italian art. Sabiana is the owner of the Sabiana Paoli Art Gallery in Singapore, which has just celebrated its second anniversary in our city. She is ready to help you grow your collection of Italian art, whether it is with her own gallery or someone else’s. She just wants you to be able to enjoy the world of art as much as she does.

During her career Sabiana has sold pieces by such famous Italian artists as Burri, Lucio Fontana and Boetti. And her academic work has seen her work with galleries in Europe and the US.

Sabiana launched her own gallery in Singapore so she could actively promote Italian art. The artists who Sabiana has brought to our shores include Andrea Baruffi and Keziat. Sabiana has said how well people in Singapore have responded to the Italian art shows at her gallery, “The Singaporean collectors are very excited because they can meet the artists and they can learn more about the techniques used in creating the paintings.” Sabiana is now hoping to build an international art community by holding talks at the gallery. During these lectures, visitors have the chance to find out more about what makes Italian art so special.

In 2014, she is also planning to launch an East meets West exhibition, which will feature the best in contemporary Southeast Asian and Italian art. When Sabiana isn’t promoting art in Singapore, she is promoting it around the rest of the world. In 2014 she will be organising an exhibition of Italian artists in New York and another one in Bejing in 2015.
