ART HOUSE

FOR A CELEBRATION OF FOOD AND ART, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN 7ADAM GALLERY RESTAURANT

-

Two of Singapore’s greatest loves—food and art—have been brought under one roof at 7Adam Gallery Restaurant. Set in a black and white bungalow overlooking Adam Park Road, 7Adam Gallery Restaurant lets you enjoy the works of local artists in a homey atmosphere.

Specialising in contemporary paintings and sculptures, the works of art are scattered throughout the restaurant and its alfresco area. The idea behind the gallery is that you will be able to see what the artworks look like in your own home. Every 8 to 10 weeks the paintings and sculptures are changed, which not only keeps things fresh for visitors, but also revamps the interior design of the restaurant every couple of months. So every time you visit the gallery it has a new look and feel. Previous exhibitions have included works by Eng Tay, Kumari Nahappan, Ling Yang Chang, Zhu Hong, Dersa Blumke and Dawn Kwan. Expect to pay from $1,500 to $25,000 for a new piece of art for your home.

The only thing that may stop you from staring at the artwork is the picture perfect food. The chef has put together a contemporary fusion menu that combines European and Asian cooking. You will be able to enjoy signature dishes such as 7Adam Goma Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Marsala Atlantic Cod Fish and Unagi Spaghetti. And if you make it to dessert, there’s a decadent chocolate fondant that will melt your heart away. Prices start at $15 for a starter, $25 to $30 for an entrée and $14 for dessert. However, if you just want to catch up with the girls and share a cocktail or two after work, you can reserve a seat on their "Chill-On-Deck" event with live acoustic band. the 7Adam Gallery Restaurant bar, where they offer an array of mouthwatering cocktails including their signature cocktail "Element 7".

After dinner or drinks you can browse and buy the artworks that decorate the rooms, or you can also attend many of the art talks that 7Adam Gallery Restaurant holds. This enables you to get up close and personal with the artists, and share insights and exchange ideas with other art aficionados.

To find out more about upcoming talks or to reserve a table at the restaurant visit www.7adam.com or call 6467 0777.
