Remo Ruffini, Moncler’s for­ward-think­ing Pres­i­dent and Cre­ative Direc­tor, de­cided the high-end win­ter­wear brand needed a change.Which was why he in­tro­duced Moncler Ge­nius, a ground­break­ing cu­ra­to­rial in­tia­tive that had the brand part­ner up with eight cre­ative tal­ents. Each was tasked to dream up a col­lec­tion that’d later be made avail­able in stores via a series of monthly “drops”. As a re­sult, the Moncler Ge­nius project boasts a spec­trum of looks, rang­ing from Pier­paolo Pic­ci­oli’s monas­tic floor-length padded hoods and capes in trapeze sil­hou­ettes, to Craig Green’s avant-garde of­fer­ings that ex­per­i­mented with vol­ume and pro­por­tions ac­cen­tu­ated through de­tails in­spired by life rafts and space suits.
