Now, Scott Bradlee’s “Postmodern Jukebox” is coming back to the Kallang Theatre for one sensational night, so put on your dancing shoes and get ready for a swing, jazz and ’50s doo-wop filled concert-party. 19-29 SEPT Sing’Theatre’s latest musical revue is Souvenir:ATrueStoryBasedontheLifeofFlorenceFosterJenkins, which tells the story of an American opera singer-turned-influential New York art patron in an era where women couldn’t work. Held at the KC Arts Centre, this stars local funny man Hossan Leong and British actress Leigh McDonald, directed by the award-winning Samantha Scott-Blackhall. TILL 30 SEPT If you’ve always dreamed of being a superhero—or Chris Hemsworth—the Marvel Studios:TenYearsofHeroes exhibition is as close as it gets. Housed in the ArtScience Museum, a cinematic universe of 10 themed galleries will transport visitors through a decade of Marvel movies, offering first-hand experiences like discovering Iron Man’s Stark Tower and traversing through Doctor Strange’s trippy light portal, or jumping into the gladiator arena with Thor and the Hulk. TILL 24 OCT Working with Singaporean visual artists Yik Keat and Geoff Ang, Leica has taken photography to the next level with the launch of its first multi-sensory exhibition, “A Tale of Convergence”.
Held at the Leica Galerie in Fullerton Hotel Singapore, this graphic showcase of urban Asia is brought to life using Augmented Reality. Visitors who download the Artivive app will see each print burst to life with movement and music.
